A silly Finnish children's movie of a family whose well meaning, nice mother is just not fit for the job of mother. Acting of especially the children is poor, but they have a number of cute and beautiful moments.

A children's movie full of absurdly unrealistic details. The plot revolves around two adopted children trying to keep a dog they found without their parents noticing. Abigail is charmingly cute, even more so than usually, and Makenzie isn't bad either. Both girls have a lot of screen time. Talia is seen for only a few seconds; see the TV series Dead Like Me" for more of her. However, all the frames without the girls could be cut off, without losing anything much of value.

Rosetta (Valentina) and her brother, two years younger, live with their poor mother who prostitutes Rosetta to a friend of the family, and probably also to other men. This situation is established quickly in the beginning, and the next scene is the police arresting the mother and the customer, and taking the two children into custody. A young officer Antonio is assigned to take the children into a children's home. When it refuses to accept Rosetta, knowing she's been a prostitute, Antonio heads for another place, without consulting his superiors.
At first the children are sullen and closed, and Antonio indifferent. During the journey they get attached to each other, which growth story makes up the main story line. It sounds simple, and it is, making the 1:50 length of the movie a little too much. The most original twist is Rosetta's situation as a 11-year-old who is known, due to a poorly anonymized front page news item, to have been a prostitute. It's an extremely tough situation for anyone, and all the more so for one so young. Her feeling of shame becomes amply clear, but leads nowhere. Overall, the story is a sad one, and offers little relief of any sort.
The budget has likely been very low. The visuals are dull. Audio track is even worse, with background noise occasionally drowning out the dialogue.
The children act quite well, and make credible children. Valentina strikes a good balance between a street-wise, early teenager who has had to grow up too fast, and a frightened, motherless child. Antonio is similarly credible, but uninspiring.

Joe Kingman is a self-satisfied football star, whose life outside of practice is filled by parties. When he finds himself having to take care of Peyton, a daughter he didn't know he has, that threatens to ruin his life style. The storyline is the classic "father discovers his daughter is the most important thing," and the treatment is very straightforward, suitable for child audience. Madison plays Peyton passably. She's frequently cute and fairly entertaining, but this is not a movie where anyone gets to show acting muscle. Even then there are moments where I see glimpses of Madison's potential.

A comedy about two men who find themselves unemployed, and decide to start a day-care center, despite being completely unqualified. The outcome is plenty of chaos, little of which is likely to entertain teen or older audience. The plot is one big hole, but Eddie Murphy and all the below-the-waist humor may be enough for younger viewers. Elle is one of the kids in day-care, and has a handful of separate lines.

The fourth in a steadily worsening sequence of kids' movies, this one is strictly for fans of the series, and supposedly of big slobbery dogs. The two young actresses in the movie do a fine job within the severe limits of their predictable roles as the little girls fond of their dogs. The plot involves a look-alike of Beethoven in a rich house, and the two getting swapped.

An awful thriller lacking in all aspects except production values. Conchita's role is small but the few moments she has are adorable.
